“Residents and visitors are reminded they can be held legally responsible for causing any fire that escapes control and causes damage.  Remember to use caution when using equipment or items that can spark a fire. Never use gasoline or other flammable liquids to start a fire.”

“SEDONA – (July 15, 2021) – Sedona Fire District (SFD) will lift all fire restrictions previously in effect for all portions of the fire district effective Friday, July 16, 2021, at 06:00 am. This move is in coordination with Coconino County, Coconino National Forest, and Kaibab National Forest.  Areas outside of Sedona Fire District boundaries within Yavapai County are still subject to Staged Fire Restrictions per the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors.  ‘The metrics that we use to determine fire restrictions and fire danger ratings are based on the National Fire Danger Rating System (NFRDS).  Right now the NFRDS is showing that we are trending towards a more moderate fire danger level,’ said Sedona Fire Marshal Jon Davis.”
